Here’s a behind-the-scenes video Comedy Central made of my Half Hour taping and MY PARENTS ARE IN IT!

This thing.

This thing.

The people at Regal Cinemas asked me to trick some celebrities into thinking I’m a college kid again and get some girl advice. This time from my new best buds Channing Tatum & Jonah Hill!

I’m not the best at giving interviews. I ramble a lot. I forget what we’re talking about. I picture what I’m saying being printed in real time and I get in my head. Anyway. Here’s a nice one from Splitsider where I talk about my upcoming special, the first time I ever did stand-up, the time I pulled cocaine out of a heckler’s coat, LCS, Letterman, poop (doy), and more. You can also watch a couple clips. I said all these things.

I asked my dad if he could help me promote my Comedy Central Half Hour Special (airing this Friday!). I told him he could say whatever he wanted, and here are all the “takes” he sent me. Featuring special guest…my mom!

"Game" time.

"Game" time.

This is a cool article about the comedians who were cut from this season of Last Comic Standing. Now that the Invitational Round is over, I guess I can tell you that I was one of them. I performed in the first round, but did not move on. But I’m happy to say it really was a positive experience overall. I loved every moment of hanging out with the comedians, traveling to LA, and performing my set at a nice theatre. The only part I didn’t particularly enjoy was being judged and critiqued after my set. I realize that’s what I signed up for, but it still felt gross. But if a comedy competition is what it takes for lots of great comedians to get national TV exposure, I think feeling gross for a minute is worth it.

I’m not entirely sure why I didn’t move on. I had a solid set that flowed nicely and got lots of laughs. Maybe I played it too safe, trying to save better material for later rounds. My set was sports-themed, and the judges all commented that they didn’t like sports. But The World likes sports, so I don’t think the material was completely unrelatable. I think personal is the way to go on this show, and that’s a lesson learned if I were ever to do it again. The one thing I wish did air was when Roseanne told me, “I wish your whole set wasn’t about sports,” and I said, “Well I wanted it to be all about diarrhea, but the Producers wouldn’t let me.” That was a fun moment.

Anyway, I think that’s all I have to say about Last Comic Standing. I’m not sure I was the right fit for the show, but I’m glad I got to do it. A nice consolation for me personally is that the prize for winning LCS in the early seasons used to be a half hour special, and I’m excited to say I’ve already got one of those, and I’m beyond excited for you to see it a week from today!

Last night I went to a screening of 22 Jump Street and sat behind Sandy Kenyon. You know, the dude who reviews movies on the little TVs in the backs of NYC taxis and who fucking hates everything. Anyway, he was laughing his balls off throughout the whole movie, so if you’re riding in a cab these next few weeks and see him rip the movie apart, you know he’s full of shit!

We’re still primarily concerned with sharing compliments given to comedians by comedians, but we can’t deny how excited we are to have received OUR first compliments! From comedians!

First, comedian complimenter extraordinaire Adam Conover called our blog “So funny!” His friend Siobhan chipped in…

New favorite blog. Like, it’s in my top 1.
